Dolce-Gabbana Featuring Schiaparelli

Mar 2, 2009 0
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana provide some much desired fashion fantasy to stress out buyers with a flash and a nod to Elsa Schiaparelli, the Roman-born couturier.

Schiaparelli brought surrealist smartness to the fashion scene between the wars. The spirit of Schiap as she was known, materialized at Dolce & Gabbana in their playful "gloved" headbands and their 1940s silhouette, not to mention the tiny ruffles that fluttered down the seams of stockings.

But most obvious was their use of shocking pink in taffeta dresses, marabou coats, and even wedgie shoes.

Diego Della Valle currently owns the rights to the Schiaparelli name. Rumor around Milan is that he has already chosen a designer to spearhead a relaunch.

Strong-willed Leos and Aquarians have very big personalities, of the love them or hate them variety. The same could be said of their always unique take on personal fashion.

Truly only a Leo like Amy Adams could pull off such a bold statement necklace with an equally over the top dress. Aquarians Jennifer Aniston also rocked unusual strapless dresses that would not flatter or appeal to most people but these are women who are not interested in blending in with the crowd.

Asrology Of The Red Carpet Fashion

The play between structure and romantic whimsy rules the lives of Virgo and Pisces women. Look at Beyonce Knowles and Jessica Biel on the red carpet scene.

It is certainly the structure of Virgo Beyonce’s and Pisces Jessica Biel's dresses that catches your attention. Biel does better in the romance factor but they both look terribly uncomfortable.

Peter Som Undemanding Respond

Feb 22, 2009 0
Peter Som has some idea on how to respond the downturn. One of them presented here.

A toile print dress with dazzling grosgrain and damask borders was topped with a blue broadtail shrug that had gleaming fox shoulders. Even a undemanding gray shift was jazzed up with point d’esprit lace insets to underline the darts.

Marc Jacobs Bright Blooming Flower

Feb 21, 2009 0
Marc Jacobs presented his Marc by Marc Jacobs collection. It was one of his liveliest shows in a while.

This was what is known as a shopping collection, in which the clothes were more important than big ideas about nightclubbing during darker times. He had a lot to offer: darling coats that flounced out at the waist, Punky Brewster tights and a sweater with a bright blooming flower across the belly.
